Who should be your witnesses at your wedding ceremony? Who should you choose to sign your marriage certificates on your special day?

Your witnesses are the ones who officially see you say “I do” and make it all legal by signing your wedding certificates 📄. Two witnesses are required, under Australian Marriage law to be part of the official marriage certificate signing on your wedding day.

Here’s the 411 👇🏻

• Two witnesses

• Over 18 years old

• Present during the wedding ceremony to sign your certificate

In my opinion, this is the perfect opportunity to include two people who may not have a formal role in the wedding, but hold a special place in your heart. A friend, a loved one, or someone who’s been cheering on your love story from day one ♥️.

A small moment, but such a meaningful one. Who would you choose to be your witness on your special day?
